BILLYBOB1972. I'm ok with index match formulas but I'm stuck with working out how to use a match with multiple criteria and finding a value based on a date range. In the example below I need to match the reference but also find the price based on the date. The value in cells c2 & c3 should return 5.5 and cell c4 should return 5.75. I'm trying to pull prices based on whether the code matches, and if the date is within a certain range. I want to pull column H based on these conditions: . Columns A and F match; Column G is between or equal to columns B and C; I figured an array formula with INDEX/MATCH would be the best method, but have not been successful so far.. I've been attempting a formula using logic similar to this: 1. Lookup with Multiple Criteria of AND Type in Excel. First of all, let's try to look up some multiple criteria of AND type. Here, AND type multiple criteria means, one value has to satisfy all the criteria to be selected. Let's try to find an employee with an ID greater than 400 and a salary greater than $40000. return_range: The range where you want the combination formula to return the product ID from. Here refers to the product ID range. criteria_value: The criteria used to locate the position of the product ID. Here refers to the values in the cells H4, H5 and H6. criteria_range: The corresponding ranges where the criteria_values are listed. Here refers to the color, size and price ranges. The range can be a function that returns multiple values, for example: ANCESTORS or CHILDREN. You can use the MATCH function inside of the INDEX function to return an item from a range based on the relative position of a value in a range. (See the example below.) =INDEX([In Stock]:[In Stock], MATCH("Jacket", [Clothing Item I have an index match formula which goes through a list and returns a date based on an email address. My issue I have is what if there are multiple entries that match that email address? INDEX MATCH based on multiple criteria. One is FIND and other is Max date. 0. EXCEL: Index Match Max date Multiple Criteria. 0. find most recent date with Table of Contents hide. Apply SUMIFS with INDEX MATCH for Multiple Columns and Rows: 5 Easy Steps. Step 01: Creating Drop-Down List to Select Month. Step 02: Checking the Drop-Down Button. Step 03: Creating Output Table. Step 04: Using the SUMIFS Function with INDEX-MATCH Functions. Step 05: Checking Dynamicity of Output. Index works ok: Selection.Value = WorksheetFunction.Index (Range ("F2:F34"), 19) 'returns the 19th value in the Range. So far so good. The Match function works well like this with only one column (Date) being searched. Selection.Value = WorksheetFunction.Match (Range ("K2"), Range ("A2:A34"), 0) 'returns the date searched for from a column of
